Yokadi is a command-line task manager that stores tasks in a local SQLite database. It provides a structured way to organise personal commitments and projects while retaining the efficiency of working entirely within a terminal.
Tasks belong to projects and can include descriptions, deadlines, urgency values and keywords. Rather than presenting a complicated interface, Yokadi uses a collection of commands for creating, finding and updating tasks.
Its project and keyword systems are particularly useful when managing several independent activities. Users can narrow the task list to specific responsibilities, record recurring commitments and work with multiple tasks in one operation.
Yokadi also provides an optional reminder daemon, allowing due dates to generate notifications without keeping the main interface open.
