Taskell is a terminal-based Kanban board and task manager. It provides a visual approach to organising work, with tasks arranged into columns representing different stages of a project.
Unlike many project management applications, Taskell stores its data in Markdown files. This makes it possible to review or edit task information with a text editor and track changes using version control.
The application is designed for keyboard-driven operation, with navigation inspired by Vim. Tasks can be organised into separate lists, moved between columns and divided into smaller subtasks.
Taskell also includes import functionality for Trello boards and GitHub projects, allowing information from those services to be brought into a local task board. These integrations use the APIs available when the application was developed and may require compatibility testing against current services.
