swaybg is a wallpaper utility for Wayland compositors. It is compatible with any Wayland compositor which implements the following Wayland protocols:
- wlr-layer-shell
- xdg-output
- xdg-shell
This utility displays a background image on all outputs of a Wayland session.
swaybg is free and open source software.
Key Features
- Scaling mode for images: stretch, fill, fit, center, or tile. Use the additional mode solid_color to display only the background color, even if a background image is specified.
- Per-output appearance options can be set by passing
-o.
