MRIcroGL is a program designed to display 3D medical imaging. It provides tools for 2D and 3D display of images.
By using your computer’s graphics card, it can allow real-time interactive rendering.
It includes scripts to show you some of the many effects.
Features include:
- Show 3D renderings or 2D slices of an image.
- Adjust color and transparency.
- Change the appearance of the intensity colorbar, useful for recognizing the range of intensities displayed.
- Clipping tool – show a 2D slice cut through a 3D rendered image.
- Cutouts – removes a 3D box from the image.
- Overlays – superimpose images on top of the background image. This lets you load statistical maps that show brain activity on top of anatomical scans.
- Mosaics – show multiple 2D slices at once.
- GLSL Shaders – generate renderings.
- Overlay Shader – designed for displaying functional or connectivity overlays on top of anatomical scans.
- Atlas Templates – several template images that show the brain parceled into discrete regions.
- Convert DICOM to NIfTI.
- Cross-platform support – runs under Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows.
