The MS-R1 memory performance is very impressive compared to both the single-board computers and desktop PCs. Note the MS-R1’s LPDDR5 has a clock speed of 5500 MT/s which is slower than the LPDDR5 on the Orange Pi 6 Plus which is clocked higher at 6000 MT/s. The Pi 6 Plus scores 49791 and 51408 respectively on the integer and floating point benchmarks.

This benchmark tests the system memory (RAM) performance. The MS-R1’s slower LPDDR5 runs the Pi 6 Plus much closer in this benchmark with the MS-R1 achieving an average of 16214.0 MB/s in standard memcpy and 39171.8 MB/s whereas the Pi 6 achieves 16498.8 MB/s and 39726.9 MB/s.

I’ve also run glmark2, an OpenGL 2.0 and ES 2.0 benchmark. Here are the results.

This score is slightly lower than the Pi 6 Plus even though both machines use the same graphics.

I’m using the Debian 12 pre-installed on the MS-R1. I’ll re-run this benchmark when Ubuntu 26.04 ARM is released.
