KNIME Analytics Platform is a graphical environment for preparing, transforming and analysing data. Its visual programming approach allows users to build workflows by connecting processing nodes rather than writing a complete program.
The application is designed for analysts, scientists and other professionals working with information from databases, spreadsheets and external services. Workflows can combine data cleaning, statistical analysis, machine learning and visualisation, with intermediate results available for inspection.
KNIME is particularly useful for developing repeatable analytical processes. Workflows can be reorganised into reusable components, extended with additional nodes and shared with other users. Although programming is not required for many tasks, Python, R and SQL integration provide additional flexibility.
