HuMo-gen is a mature, feature-laden, open source web-based genealogy program. This software makes it easy to publish genealogical data on the internet as a dynamic and searchable family tree website.
The software is particularly strong in generating reports. HuMo-gen is installed on a web server and uses a MySQL database to store the genealogical data. The webmaster can build entire family trees on-line with HuMo-gen’s editing menu or choose to upload GEDCOM files that were created with an external genealogy program.
HuMo-gen is classified as a Gedcom to PHP program. This means it knows to take a Gedcom file (files that can be created and exported by all major genealogy programs) and convert it to PHP files, that display dynamic webpages on the internet.
