f.lux – care for your eyes

f.lux makes the color of your computer’s display adapt to the time of day, warm at night and like sunlight during the day.

f.lux doesn’t use ambient brightness to adjust colors.

Note, f.lux is freeware.

Features include:

• Offers a variety of color profiles and pre-defined temperature values.
• Control Philips Hue LED lighting (Windows only).
• Multiple monitor support.
• Wake up notifications.
• Temporarily disable the software.
• Movie mode which decreases the red tinge for 2.5 hours.
• Cross-platform support – runs under Linux, macOS, and Windows.

Some of the tools associated with f.lux are released under an open source license. The f.lux indicator applet fluxgui is an indicator applet to control xflux.
