Cockpit Machines is a Cockpit application that provides a web interface for creating and managing virtual machines on a Linux host.
It uses libvirt-dbus to monitor and control guests, with virt-install and virt-xml handling the creation and modification of virtual machine definitions.
This is free and open source software.

- Creates virtual machines from downloaded operating systems, cloud images, local installation media, URLs, existing disk images or PXE.
- Configures memory, virtual CPUs, storage and networking.
- Starts, pauses, reboots, shuts down and deletes virtual machines.
- Provides graphical VNC and SPICE consoles together with serial consoles.
- Adds and manages disks, network interfaces, shared filesystems and host devices.
- Creates, reverts and deletes virtual machine snapshots.

- Migrates guests to other hosts using shared or copied storage.
