Citra - work-in-progress Nintendo 3DS emulator

Citra is a work-in-progress Nintendo 3DS emulator started in early 2014.

Citra currently emulates, with varying degrees of success, a wide variety of different homebrew applications and commercial software.

The name is derived from CTR, which is part of the model number of the original 3DS.

Features include:

Accurate audio emulation. Citra also implements cubeb audio backend support.
Fully functional software keyboard emulation.
Shadow mapping.
Stereoscopic 3D support.
Assign hotkeys to pausing, unpausing, and toggling speed limiting.
Volume sliders.
Movie – game input recording and playback.
Support for encrypted games.
Controller hot plugging support.
Scripting support – debug emulator internals, reverse engineering 3DS game internals, Tool-Assisted-Speedrunning (TAS), and the ability to manipulate memory in game.
Cross-platform support – actively maintained for Linux, macOS, and Windows.

Citra does not natively run dumps of games that have not been decrypted properly. This requires a physical 3DS and the game you own.
