word-sys’s PDF Editor is a graphical application for creating and editing PDF documents. It provides tools for modifying existing text, inserting images, rearranging pages and adding annotations without requiring a separate commercial PDF editor.
The application was developed with the Linux desktop in mind, particularly Pardus, Debian and related distributions. It uses GTK and libadwaita to provide an interface for editing documents directly on a graphical canvas.
Unlike PDF utilities that concentrate on splitting or combining documents, word-sys’s PDF Editor supports modifying text and other objects within individual pages. It also includes tools for exporting documents to editable office formats. The built-in conversion engine supports both layout-preserving output and reconstruction of document content into a more conventional text flow.
This is free and open source software.
