Memory Usage

The chart below shows memory usage after starting up each client and playing a track. Note that the memory consumption for spotify-qt includes the memory used by the spotifyd daemon (13MB of RAM). The figures are courtesy of the wonderful ps_mem memory utility.

The chart below shows memory usage after performing an identical set of actions on each client over a long period of time. Again the memory consumption for spotify-qt includes the memory consumed by spotifyd.

I’d rather cancel my Amazon Prime account than Spotify Premium.

Me too, Amazon is often not the cheapest and many retailers offer free delivery.
