shmooz – Wayland presentation and screenshot tool

shmooz is a Wayland presentation and screenshot tool. It lets you magnify and pan the current output, add annotations, highlight an area around the pointer and capture exactly what is visible.

The software also offers a colour picker and tools for drawing directly on either the zoomed or full view.

This is free and open source software.

• Zoom into a selected area by drawing a box.
• Toggle a spotlight around the pointer.
• Adjust the spotlight radius.
• Annotate using pen, highlighter, line, rectangle, ellipse and text tools.
• Move, undo and clear annotations.
• Choose from 12 annotation colours.
• Pick the colour beneath the pointer and copy its hexadecimal value.
• Save the visible view as a screenshot.
• Copy captures to the Wayland clipboard.
• Select a specific output and configure the initial zoom level.
• Offers an interactive keyboard shortcut overlay.
