Rambox – cross platform messaging app

Rambox is an open source cross-platform messaging and emailing app that combines common web applications into one application.

The software supports a wide range of different services. There are 89 services supported such as Skype, Slack, WhatsApp, Messenger, Google Hangouts, Gmail, Discord, Telegram, and many more.

Rambox is an Electron-based application. Electron allows for the development of desktop GUI applications using front and back end components originally developed for web applications: Node.js runtime for the backend and Chromium for the frontend.

Features include:

• Notifications – displays notifications natively.
• Sync your configuration between multiple computers – uses Auth0 for Single Sign On & Token Based Authentication.
• Master Password – ask for a password every time Rambox is opened.
• Lock Rambox if you will be away for a period of time.
• Don’t disturb mode – this mode disables all sounds and notifications.
• Reorder applications in the tab bar.
• Notification badge in the tab – every time you have something new to check, you see a badge in the tab of the service and in taskbar icon.
• Add any custom service of your choice.
• Minimize to tray.
• Mute audio to specific service.
• Separate tabs floating to the right.
• Disable a service instead of remove it.
• Start automatically on system startup.
• Custom Code Injection – add custom behaviours.
• Keyboard Shortcuts.
• Proxy – configure Rambox to use a Proxy if your network blocks some services.
• Privacy – no personal information is saved.
• AppImages are available.
• Cross-platform support – runs under Linux, Mac, and Windows.
