pipemixer is an interactive terminal volume mixer designed for PipeWire. It uses ncurses to provide direct access to audio streams and devices without relying on a graphical desktop application.
The application takes inspiration from pulsemixer and pwvucontrol, bringing familiar mixer controls to a PipeWire-native implementation. You can navigate the available audio nodes, adjust volume levels and mute individual streams or devices using keyboard shortcuts.
pipemixer supports selecting default audio devices, choosing routes and changing device profiles. It also allows audio channels to be locked together or adjusted independently, depending on the selected control.
The application’s appearance and behaviour can be customised through an INI configuration file.
This is free and open source software.
