Taline is a desktop application that encourages regular screen breaks using the 20-20-20 rule. It combines a visible countdown with configurable reminders, giving users a straightforward way to schedule pauses intended to reduce prolonged periods of uninterrupted screen use. The application is built with Flutter and provides a graphical interface rather than relying on a background-only timer.
Users can follow the standard 20-minute reminder pattern or choose a custom interval. Taline also includes an optional Muslim mode that combines the break-reminder workflow with prayer-time information and related notifications. The interface is available in several languages and can start automatically when the user logs in.
This is free and open source software.
