OpenNumismat is coin collecting software

OpenNumismat is a handy and reliable application designed for collectors of coins and coin collectors, to create a numismatic collection.

With OpenNumismat you will be able to create, organize, and manage your own catalogs of coins with detailed descriptions and photos for each item.

OpenNumismat is based on the PySide6 library with the SQLite database engine to store the data collection, which allowed to achieve lightness and responsiveness of the interface and cross-platform.

This is free and open source software.

  • Various panels. The main window consists of a table of coins, image panel, tree, and info panel.
  • Views:
    • Table view.
    • Icon view.
    • Card view.
  • Add coins with a large number of fields such as state of the coin, market information, map, technical data, design, classification, and more.
  • Edit multiple coins. Clone coins.
  • Filters.
  • Lists.
  • Generate reports:
    • Statistics.
  • Templates – the engine for generating template reports is based on the Jinja2 library.
  • Built-in image editor:
    • Support popular image formats: JPEG, PNG, BMP, TIFF, GIF, WebP
    • Takes a photo from webcam.
    • Full Screen mode.
    • Image editing tools: resize, rotate, crop (rectangle, ellipse, perspective transformation).
    • Up to 10 Undo/Redo actions.
    • Single click to switch between best fit and actual size mode.

  • Create backup of a collection.
