- Editing – make selections by dragging the mouse over the sample view. Cut, copy, paste functionality. Crop function deletes all part of the file that are not selected. The silence selection function replaces the selected part with silence.

- Normalize – amplifies the sound without clipping distortion.
- Volume adjust/fade – select a starting volume and an ending volume and amplifies the selection fading from the starting volume to the ending volume.

- Mix to mono.
- Add channel.
- Map channels.
- Combine channels.
- Speed adjustment.
- Pipe through program.
- Supports LADSPA effects and can use most of the SoX’s effects.
- Formats supported: WAV, RAW, and other formats supported by the libsndfile library.
