Guayadeque Music Player aims to be an intuitive, simple to use, and fast for Linux audiophiles with large music collections.

It uses the wxWidget toolkit and the Gstreamer media framework.

The software is released under an open source license.

Features include:

  • Read and write tags in all supported formats.
  • TagEditor using MusicBrainz.
  • Catalogue your music using labels.
  • Smart play mode that add tracks that fit your music taste using the tracks currently in play list.
  • Download covers manually or automatically from the internet.
  • Suggest music using the last.fm service.
  • Allow fast access to any music file by genre, artist, album, etc.
  • Play shoutcast radios.
  • Allow users to subscribe to podcasts and download all new episodes automatically or manually.
  • Dynamic or static play lists.
  • Tracks tag editor with automatically fetching of tags information for easily completion.
  • Cover fetching.
  • Resume play status and position when closed and reopened.
  • Playlists.
  • Graphic Equalizer.
  • AudioScrobble.
  • VU Meters.
  • Rate the tracks from 0 to 5 stars.

Time to update your web page and mark Guayadeque as abandonware and revived!

The website no longer exists and the “anonbeat” Github repository has been put into read only mode with the notice
