FDclone – console-based lightweight file manager

FDclone (FD stands for “File and Directory”) is an easy-to-use file management tool for Un*x newbies.

FDclone is a clone of “FD” written by Atsushi Idei, which was once a very popular file manager in Japan. Japanese MS-DOS users treated the name of “FD” as the synonym of file maintenance tools.

Messages are available either in English or in Japanese.

Features include:

• Standard file management operations such as copy, delete, rename, run files, and more.
• Tree mode.
• Display modes – default, sym-link status, file type symbol, sym-link status and file type symbol.
• Sort modes – unsorted, alphabetical, extension, size, date, length, alphabetical (reversal), extension (reversal), size (reversal), date (reversal), length (reversal), and preserve previous sort type.
• Unpack files.
• Configurable.
