trzsz-ssh (tssh) is an SSH client designed to provide broad compatibility with OpenSSH while adding conveniences for connecting to remote systems and transferring files. It can be used in place of the familiar ssh command for many everyday operations.
The program supports standard SSH configuration files and connection options, including public-key authentication, jump hosts, port forwarding and connection multiplexing. It also offers an interactive login interface for choosing and organising remote hosts.
File transfers are a particular strength. The client integrates with trzsz utilities and supports established transfer protocols, making it convenient to move files during remote sessions without leaving the terminal.
When used with the companion tsshd service, it can also maintain access across intermittent network connections. This makes it useful for administrators working over unreliable wireless networks or changing network connections.
This is free and open source software.
