Spin Operator is a Kubernetes operator for deploying and managing applications built with the Spin WebAssembly framework. It is part of SpinKube, which brings Spin workloads into Kubernetes using familiar resource definitions and management tools.
The operator monitors custom resources representing Spin applications and reconciles their desired state with the Kubernetes cluster. This allows developers and platform administrators to manage WebAssembly workloads using the same declarative approach employed for conventional Kubernetes applications.
Spin Operator works with a compatible WebAssembly runtime and containerd shim. It is particularly useful for organisations adopting Spin applications while retaining their existing Kubernetes infrastructure, deployment processes and operational tooling.
