Rustlens – terminal-based utility for inspecting Rust projects

Rustlens is a terminal-based utility for inspecting Rust projects.

It gives developers an interactive way to explore the structure of a codebase from the command line, helping them browse source elements and understand project layout without switching to a graphical editor or web interface.

This is free and open source software.

Key Features

  • Parses Rust source files and surfaces items such as functions, structs, enums, traits, impl blocks, modules, type aliases, constants, and statics.
  • Includes fuzzy search with real-time filtering to help locate items quickly.
  • Provides a dedicated crates view for examining `Cargo.toml` dependencies.
  • Supports multiple themes including Default Dark, Nord, Catppuccin Mocha, and Dracula.
  • Offers keyboard-driven navigation with Vim-style movement keys.
  • Can open related pages such as docs.rs, crates.io, and the project repository from within the interface.
