ReignOS is an Arch-based distribution designed to provide a console-style gaming environment across handhelds, laptops, mini PCs, and desktop systems.
It offers Steam-focused operation without an immutable base, allowing users to choose alternative kernels and graphics drivers. KDE Plasma is available as a full desktop alongside several gaming and compatibility sessions.
Key Features

- Supports clean installations using an entire drive and dual-boot configurations that preserve an existing operating system.
- Provides a graphical Control Center for selecting the default session, changing screen rotation, configuring displays, choosing audio devices, and managing wireless connections.
- Offers Gamescope, Weston, windowed Weston, Cage, Labwc, X11, KDE gaming mode, KDE Plasma, and KDE Plasma on X11 sessions.
- Supports AMD, Intel, and NVIDIA graphics hardware, including hybrid-graphics, multi-GPU, and external-GPU systems.
- Targets general-purpose computers and gaming handhelds, with documented support for devices from ASUS, Lenovo, MSI, Ayaneo, OneXPlayer, GPD, AOKZOE, and others.
- Lets users switch between the ReignOS input system, InputPlumber, HHD, or their own controller-management setup.

What's a Linux distribution ("distro")? |
| A distro provides the user with a desktop environment, preloaded applications, and ways to update and maintain the system. Each distro makes different choices, deciding which open source projects to install and provides custom written programs. They can have different philosophies. Some distros are intended for desktop computers, some for servers without a graphical interface, and others for special uses. Because Linux is an open source operating system, combinations of software vary between Linux distros. |
