Puzzled – GNOME desktop application for solving daily tile-placement puzzles

Puzzled is a GNOME desktop application for solving daily tile-placement puzzles inspired by Puzzle a Day.

Built with GTK4 and Libadwaita, the program offers a modern interface for arranging pieces on a board, checking whether your current layout is still solvable, and working through different puzzle collections and variants.

This is free and open source software.

Key Features

  • Lets you drag tiles onto the board, rotate them, and flip them while solving puzzles.
  • Offers hint and solver feedback to show whether your current approach can still lead to a solution.
  • Organizes puzzles into collections and supports loading community-created collections at runtime.
  • Can generate random puzzles for extra replay value.
  • Marks solved puzzles and awards stars for solutions completed with fewer hints.
  • Includes quality-of-life features such as a How to Play dialog and optional grid lines on the board.
