oha is a command-line HTTP load generator with a real-time terminal user interface.

Written in Rust, it sends concurrent requests to web applications and presents live performance statistics during testing.

This is free and open source software.

Key Features

  • Generates configurable HTTP workloads using a specified number of requests or test duration.
  • Displays real-time statistics in an animated terminal user interface.
  • Controls concurrency, HTTP/2 parallel requests, query rates and burst traffic.
  • Supports HTTP/0.9, HTTP/1.0, HTTP/1.1, HTTP/2 and experimental HTTP/3.
  • Sends custom methods, headers, request bodies and multipart form data.
  • Supports basic authentication and AWS Signature Version 4 authentication.
  • Works with HTTP proxies, Unix sockets and VSOCK connections.
  • Provides IPv4, IPv6, TLS certificate and client certificate options.
  • Generates variable target URLs from regular expressions or reads multiple URLs from a file.
  • Exports results as text, JSON or CSV and can record successful requests in an SQLite database.
