Netshot – Network Configuration and Compliance Management

Netshot is a browser-based network configuration and compliance-management application.

It maintains an operational inventory of network devices, records configuration changes and evaluates equipment against administrative policies. The server can be deployed on Linux directly or through containers, while administrators interact with it using its web GUI and REST API.

This is free and open source software.

• Lets administrators define diagnostic and change scripts using JavaScript or Python.
• Produces reports covering configuration changes, compliance, software, hardware and access failures.
• Exports selected report data to spreadsheet-compatible files for further analysis.
• Provides a REST API and webhooks for integration with monitoring, automation and management systems.
• Supports local accounts as well as RADIUS, TACACS+ and OpenID Connect authentication.
• Offers a high-availability cluster mode with task distribution and reassignment.
• Can use PostgreSQL for persistent storage in larger or highly available deployments.
• Provides Docker and Docker Compose resources for reproducible Linux deployment.
