Musiko

Musiko – cross-platform music player

In Operation

First thing you’ll want to do is sync your music library. Musiko is dog slow at performing this action even with a fairly small album collection. But it’s not an activity you’ll hopefully be doing very often. It’s a shame there’s no support for multiple folders.

Here’s an image of Musiko in action.

Musiko has a fairly simple interface to use. Visually it’s quite appealing.

Features include:

  • Display music by albums.
  • Totally web disconnected (no request sent).
  • Recognizes a lot of metadata (including lyrics and disc subtitle).
  • Search and filters.
  • Playlists support with a section for last plays.
  • Various themes:
    • Dark – default, deep blue, forest, purple, and neon.
    • Light – greyscale, sand, sail, opaline, and amaranth.
  • Internationalization support with translations available for Esperanto, German, Spanish, Russian, and other languages.
