Framework

Mezzio- lightweight PHP microframework

Mezzio is a lightweight PHP microframework for building PSR-15 middleware applications. It provides a minimalist foundation for creating web applications and APIs around PSR-7 HTTP messages.

The framework lets developers choose their preferred router, dependency injection container, template renderer, and other components instead of imposing a fixed application stack.

This is free and open source software.

Key Features

  • Build applications using PSR-7 HTTP messages and PSR-15 middleware.
  • Middleware-oriented architecture built on laminas-stratigility.
  • Supports FastRoute and laminas-router.
  • Works with PSR-11 compatible dependency injection containers.
  • Retrieve routed middleware directly from the configured container.
  • Optional template rendering support.
  • Supports Plates, Twig, and Laminas PhpRenderer.
  • Skeleton project provides guided installation and configuration.
  • Install and manage dependencies with Composer.
  • Modular design lets developers select only the components they need.
