Hedy is a gradual textual programming language designed to teach programming concepts and prepare learners for Python. Instead of introducing an entire language and its syntax at once, Hedy divides learning into levels that progressively add commands, concepts and stricter syntax.
The language is aimed primarily at children aged 10 and above, with classroom-management facilities, lesson plans and playful programming activities. Hedy runs in a web browser, but it can also be downloaded and hosted locally.
