Flacon is an audio file encoder designed to split album-length recordings into individual tracks. It uses a CUE sheet to identify track boundaries, making it particularly useful for music collections stored as single large audio files.
The application provides a graphical interface for preparing albums, checking track information and choosing encoding options. It can process recordings in several lossless formats, including FLAC and WavPack, and generate individual files for use in music players and library managers. Flacon also offers console operation for workflows that don’t require the graphical interface.
This is free and open source software.
