DebLight OS is a lightweight Linux distribution designed to run efficiently on older 32-bit and 64-bit PCs.
The distribution focuses on providing a responsive, user-friendly desktop while keeping system resource requirements low. It offers the Xfce or LXDE desktop environment and is based on LMDE (Linux Mint Debian Edition). DebLight OS can also be installed alongside an existing operating system.

I like the look of this. I hope the French to English translation is well done. I’m surprised they didn’t go with the name, DebLite.
The translation to English is currently somewhat patchy with some menu entries etc untranslated.
Hopefully this will improve with time.
Sadly when running the installer with English it flat out failed sometime around or just after the 16% mark with the 2025-09-16 release.

Actually, the choice of DebLight over DebLite is fully intended by its developer, who avoids marketing tricks. Anyway, version 3 is out with a choice between LXDE and XFCE—not bad at all, if you don’t mind the English translation.
Thanks for the Xfce mention, I’ve fixed that.
I understand the point about DebLight being the developer’s deliberate choice, although I’m not quite sure why DebLite would necessarily be regarded as a marketing trick.
Thanks also for the heads-up about version 3. The choice between LXDE and Xfce certainly makes it more interesting, even if the English translation could do with some improvement.
