Calamares – installer framework

Calamares is an installer framework. By design it is very customizable, in order to satisfy a wide variety of needs and use cases. It’s used by a large number of popular Linux distributions.

Calamares aims to be easy, usable and beautiful while remaining independent of any particular Linux distribution. Calamares is not a “ready to use” application: distributions apply a huge amount of customization and configuration to Calamares, and the target audience for this repository is those distributions, and the people who make those Linux distros.

This is free and open source software.

Features include:

• Highly modular and configurable – developers can add their own branding and configuration.
• Modules – Welcome, location, keyboard, partitions, users, summary, install, and finish.
