berry is a healthy, bite-sized window manager written in C over the XLib library.
berry has two main dependencies: The XLib and Xft headers. berry is configured via its command-line client: berryc.
berry is a very simple program with only a handful of commands to manage its internal state and control active clients. This window manager does not handle keyboard input on its own. Instead, a program like sxhkd is needed to translate keypress events into berryc commands.
berry is free and open source software.

- Ability to view the internal state of active clients.
- Small, hackable source code.
- Extensible themeing options with double borders, title bars, and window text.
- Intuitively place new windows in unoccupied spaces.
- Virtual desktops.
- Compliant with a subset of ICCCM and EWMH. Additionally, berry implements its own properties on the x-server that are exposed to users.
