BOH – cross-platform game

BOH is an original, retro-flavoured game of action and exploration. The name ‘BOH’ is an Italian interjection which means “I don’t know”.

The gameplay of BOH was inspired by certain Commodore 64 titles: Wizard of Wor, The Amazing Spider-Man and Impossible Mission. From a technical perspective, the inspiration of BOH derived from the MS-DOS version of Shadowlands and a coin-op Formula 1 game (maybe Tail to Nose). Other games that have influenced the development of BOH include Alien Breed, The Chaos Engine and Ambermoon for the Amiga computer.

In BOH, you move in claustrophobic, traps-packed, mind-boggling battlefields searching for the Evil Masters, who throw countless enemies at you until you discover and face them in the final battle. Although your quests are made slightly less hard by the bonuses and power-ups scattered all around, carrying out the missions demands lots of concentration and quick reflexes.

The underlying ‘oldschool’ flavour of the gameplay is also present.

  • A mission can consist of one or more phases. Each phase takes place in a battlefield made of dungeons, dangerous areas, etc.

• Multi-floor battlefields of any size and shape.

• Expandibility (themes, missions, translations).
• English, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Spanish and Swedish translations.
