Word War vi is a retro-styled side scrolling shoot’em up ’80s style arcade game.

In this game, you pilot your “vi”per craft through core memory, rescuing lost .swp files, avoiding OS defenses, and wiping out those memory hogging emacs processes.

When all the lost .swp files are rescued, head for the socket which will take you to the next node in the cluster.

Features include:

  • Wide variety of enemies and weapons:
    • Rockets.
    • Jets, firing heat seeking missiles.
    • Heat seeking SAMs.
    • Octo-viruses and tentacles.
    • Blimps which shoot heat seeking missiles and leak LISP code.
    • GDB processes.
    • Cron jobs which shoot projectiles.
    • Laser cannons.
    • WINE bottles.
    • Tesla towsers.
    • Gunwheels.
  • Fuel tanks to refuel your “vi”per craft.
  • Joystick support.
  • Make new levels using a text editor.
