RockMongo is a browser-based MongoDB administration interface developed for older server and runtime environments. It provided a graphical alternative to carrying out common database tasks with MongoDB shell commands.
The application included tools for managing servers, databases, collections and documents. Administrators could inspect replication and profiling information, execute database commands, manipulate indexes and perform imports or exports. The interface also offered custom themes, plugins and translations.
RockMongo provided administrative access to multiple MongoDB hosts, allowing users to switch between connections and examine individual databases. Its collection management facilities supported both ordinary document operations and more advanced tasks such as index administration and examining query execution.
The original repository is archived and the program is no longer maintained. Its use of an obsolete PHP runtime and historic MongoDB operations makes it unsuitable for new production deployments. The features described here document the software as it existed when actively developed.
