OpenStock is a browser-based stock market research platform designed to bring financial information together in one place. It provides a workspace for monitoring companies, following market movements and investigating potential investments without having to switch between several financial websites.
The application uses Finnhub for market information, TradingView for financial charts and market visualisations, and MongoDB for storing user information. Its interface is built using Next.js, React and TypeScript, with a responsive layout designed for desktop and mobile browsers.
OpenStock can be deployed on a Linux server using Docker Compose or installed directly with Node.js. Market data availability and freshness depend on the external providers used. It is a research and monitoring application rather than a brokerage or trading execution platform.
This is free and open source software.
