mpv-mpris is a plugin for mpv which adds an MPRIS D-Bus interface to the media player. This allows mpv to integrate with standard desktop media controls and respond to media keys in the same way as other MPRIS-aware applications.
It can be controlled by utilities such as playerctl as well as desktop environments including KDE Plasma and GNOME. The plugin runs inside mpv and communicates playback state, metadata, artwork, and available controls over D-Bus.
