MakuluLinux – Ubuntu-based multi-faced distribution

MakuluLinux is a rolling-release distribution based either on Ubuntu’s LTS (long-term support) release or Debian’s “Testing” branch.

There are LinDoz, Flash, and Core editions. Gamers are catered for with both Steam and Wine pre-installed. The distro has a unique look and feel, lots of themes, and is quite flexible.

What's a Linux distribution ("distro")?

A distro provides the user with a desktop environment, preloaded applications, and ways to update and maintain the system.

Each distro makes different choices, deciding which open source projects to install and provides custom written programs. They can have different philosophies.

Some distros are intended for desktop computers, some for servers without a graphical interface, and others for special uses. Because Linux is an open source operating system, combinations of software vary between Linux distros.

This appears to be XFCE or Cinnamon based, not GNOME. Makulu is an interesting Distro offering a plethora of AI.. too much AI, it bogs the system down badly. Remove the majority of that AI stuff though and update the kernel to 6.18rc2 and I kid you not it was like getting a brand new system, SIGNIFICANTLY faster. Overall good distro if you do the aforementioned and do the legwork to customise the VERY outdated looking UI.
