Faved is a self-hosted bookmark manager designed for large collections and more demanding organisational requirements.
Bookmarks can be arranged using nested tags, allowing structured hierarchies rather than relying on a flat collection of labels. Tags can have colours and descriptions, frequently used tags can be pinned, and an optional rollup lets a parent tag include bookmarks assigned to its children.
Faved automatically retrieves page titles, descriptions and preview images, and checks for duplicate bookmarks. Search, filtering and sorting are integrated into the interface, while bulk operations can delete, refetch or tag multiple items at once.
The interface offers card, list and table layouts and adapts to desktop and mobile devices. It can also be installed as a Progressive Web App. Browser integration includes a Chrome extension and a lightweight bookmarklet, while Apple Shortcuts provides another way to save links from Apple devices.
Existing collections can be imported from major browsers and services including Raindrop.io and Pocket. When self-hosted, data is stored locally using SQLite.
This is free and open source software.
