Cornice – image viewer

Cornice is a cross-platform image viewer written in Python, which is designed to be a free replacement of ACDSee.

The software has a modest set of features, a refreshing change from the typical feature-bloat of many established image viewers.

The author of the software was inspired to write an ACDSee clone as similar software (GTKSee) was no longer being maintained.

Features include:

• Detail and thumbnail view for images.
• Image preview.
• Automatic recognition of images, with a variety of formats supported.
• Bookmarks.
• Full-screen view.
• Zooming and rotation.
• Slideshow.
• Good keyboard navigation.
• Image loading from zip archives.
• i18n support (with Italian and French translations available).
• EXIF data support.
