BcalcOS is a Devuan-based Linux distribution designed as a good-to-go, general-purpose desktop system.
It takes a deliberately traditional approach to the Linux desktop, avoiding systemd in favour of sysvinit and using XLibre as its display server. The distribution combines a relatively small selection of default applications with the Xfce desktop and provides access to the wider Devuan repositories, its own software repository, and applications distributed through Flathub.

| A distro provides the user with a desktop environment, preloaded applications, and ways to update and maintain the system.
