Acheron is an alternative Discord client written in C++ using the Qt application framework. It uses Qt 6 while retaining compatibility with Qt 5, providing a native desktop application that does not rely on Electron or Tauri. The software supports Linux, macOS, and Windows.
The project aims to reproduce the essential Discord experience within a conventional desktop interface. It remains under active development, with animated emojis, server management, notifications, and sounds among the functionality planned for future releases.
