Portmaster – application firewall that does the heavy lifting

Portmaster is an application firewall that does the heavy lifting for you. Restore privacy and take back control over all your computer’s network activity.

Portmaster integrates into network stack using nfqueue on Linux.

Key Features

  • Monitor all network activity – discover everything that is happening on your computer. Expose every connection your applications make and detect evil ones. Finally get the power to act accordingly.
  • Full control: block anything.
  • Automatically block trackers and malware.
  • Set global and per‑app settings – make your own rules. Completely cut off applications from the Internet. Or block all p2p connections except for certain apps. Or never connect to specific countries. Portmaster has you covered.
  • Secure DNS (Doh/DoT):
    • Define allowed network scopes: Localhost, LAN, Internet, P2P, Inbound.
    • Easy rules based on internet entities: Domain, IP, country and more.
    • Filter lists block common malware, ad, tracker domains etc.
  • Cross-platform support – runs under Linux and Windows.

Hi. You need to amend the link to the Portmaster repository as it actually directs back to LinuxLinks.

Thank you.
