OpenJardin – management of a permaculture oriented garden

OpenJardin is software for the management of a permaculture oriented garden. It uses Qt, a free and open-source widget toolkit for creating graphical user interfaces.

OpenJardin allows interactive management of crop plots, with annual planning and crop rotation over 5 years.

The program also includes plant varieties used for crops, species and families of plants.

The software uses an SQLite database which includes the following tables:

  • Cultures.
  • Plant varieties (to be completed by yourself depending on the varieties you use).
  • Botanical species table (pre-filled with the most common species but can be updated).
  • Botanical families table (pre-filled with the most common families but can be updated).
  • Observation and task tables (pre-filled but can be updated).
  • Plot tables and bottom of plan.

Other features:

  • Plan management.
  • Tasks management.
  • Highly configurable.
  • Scheduling.
  • Crop cropping.
  • Data is stored in XML format.

The XML file contains terrain plan configuration data with parcels, materials, and plantations.
