Natural Docs is a multi-language documentation generator designed to produce readable technical references from source code comments. Its documentation syntax resembles ordinary written explanations rather than requiring developers to use a large collection of specialised markup commands.
The application scans source files, identifies documentation topics and generates linked HTML pages. Depending on the programming language, it can also extract structural information from the source code itself, reducing the amount of manual annotation needed to produce useful documentation.
Natural Docs supports numerous programming languages, including C#, JavaScript, C++, Java and Python. Its language-aware parsing system also provides basic support for Rust, Swift, Kotlin, Go and TypeScript.
