Mnemosyne is a flashcard application designed to schedule reviews at the point when they are most useful.
After reviewing a card, you grade your recall and Mnemosyne uses that information when deciding when to show it again. Difficult material is presented more frequently, while well-remembered material receives longer intervals.
The program combines a deliberately straightforward interface with powerful card types, multimedia, hierarchical tags, statistics, synchronisation and extensive customisation through plugins and scripts.
This is free and open source software.
