hwatch is a modern alternative to the watch command. It features in our Top 100 CLI apps.
hwatch is like the watch command. It repeatedly executes a command and displays its output. However, the output results can be scrolled and displayed. In addition, the difference of the execution result is recorded with the time stamp, and it can be checked later. When checking, it is also possible to display the diff with the previous difference together.
This is free and open source software.
Features include:
- Retains the history when the difference occurs and check it later.
- Check the difference in the history. The display method can be changed in real time.
- Output the execution result as log (json format).
- Supports ANSI color code.
- Execution result can be scrolled.
