Headlamp is a graphical interface for Kubernetes that helps administrators and developers manage clusters, inspect resources and troubleshoot workloads. It provides a vendor-independent alternative to dashboards tied to particular Kubernetes distributions or cloud platforms.
The application can run inside a Kubernetes cluster or locally as a desktop program. Its interface presents resources in organised views, making it easier to inspect workloads, configurations and operational information.
Headlamp supports interactive resource management, including creating, updating and deleting Kubernetes objects. Its controls respect the permissions granted to the user through Kubernetes role-based access control (RBAC), helping ensure that operations are only offered when authorised.
The software is extensible through plugins, allowing additional dashboards, integrations and other functionality to be introduced without modifying the core application.
This is free and open source software.
